Virtual Assist usa

Who We Are

Since October 2, 2008, our mission has been simple and steady: We support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and Fortune 500 companies that want expert help without adding full-time, in-house headcount or office space.

How We Work With Our Clients

We are proactive partners to our clients. We anticipate needs, solve problems before they surface, and treat “what’s next?” as part of the job. We’ve built the entire company around it. Our team is made up of Virtual Assistants who were hired based on their education, expertise and working style. They stay with us, too. Tenure and loyalty give clients continuity and compound know-how. To see how we invest in our people, read out.

Our Leadership Team

Est. 2008

Danielle Cuomo, MBA

Founder, Chief Executive Officer

Danielle Cuomo founded Virtual Assist USA at the start of the Virtual Assistant industry in 2008,when the concept of using Virtual Assistants was new, and unproven. At the time, Virtual Assistance raised more questions than it answered. That era of uncertainty passed some time ago.

These days, we hear more about the risk of not using a Virtual Assistant and her innovation has helped shape how companies think about fractional support. Today, Virtual Assist USA is known as one of the first companies to deliver Virtual Assistant services and the only one with an onshore, employee model.

Her entrepreneurship has earned her many awards including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Chase Bank Innovation Award and Athena Award. She actively leads in both professional and community settings, serving with organizations including Girl Scouts, VolunTots, Forbes Business Council, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and on the IMC Department Advisory Board at Kaiser University.

Danielle graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s in Business Administration.

Based in Pittsburgh, Danielle lives with her husband, three kids, and their bulldog, Cannoli. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors, cooking for her family, and getting lost in a good book.

Nicole Gallicchio-Elz

COO +  President of Initiatives

Nicole Gallicchio-Elz has served in a senior leadership role at Virtual Assist USA for over a decade, helping scale the organization into a nationally recognized, U.S.-based managed virtual assistant and tech services firm. As Chief Operations Officer, she oversees strategic growth initiatives, operational infrastructure, service development, and leadership alignment across remote teams nationwide.

Nicole is known for building operational systems that sustain long-term growth. She specializes in workflow optimization, scalable delegation models, financial oversight, and performance accountability — ensuring that both clients and internal teams operate with clarity and measurable results. Under her leadership, Virtual Assist USA has refined its structured onboarding processes, supervisor frameworks, compliance standards, and client integration model, setting a higher bar for managed remote support.

Her leadership philosophy centers on purposeful growth. She believes operational strategy must be practical, financially grounded, and executable — not theoretical. Nicole works closely with entrepreneurs, executives, and internal leadership teams to design sustainable systems that protect margins, strengthen accountability, and reduce founder dependency.

In addition to her executive role, Nicole is the co-host of the business podcast Not Your Average CEO Lifeline, where she discusses business structure, delegation, scaling, AI implementation in leadership, and building resilient organizations. She is also a published author with Wiley and serves on multiple nonprofit boards, contributing her expertise in strategy and operations.

Nicole brings a rare blend of analytical precision and real-world execution to every initiative. Her focus remains clear: build organizations that operate efficiently, scale intentionally, and endure.
