Do You Think You Can Do It Better Yourself

You probably can’t.

We say that with love, but here’s why:

1. Running a business requires more than just serving your clients or selling your product. We know you’re good at what you do. But running a business also requires a high volume of administrative work, weekly and monthly marketing tasks, managing ancillary projects, bookkeeping, website maintenance and upkeep, maintaining your CRM system, following up on old sales leads and more. If you’re not spending time on these tasks because you’re busy running your core business, you’re stalling your growth.

2. It’s a myth that it “takes longer to train someone” than it does to do them yourself. Many of the tasks you do on a day-to-day basis are repetitive and part of your system. By training a Virtual Assistant one time, you save an exponential amount of time for yourself in the long-run. (Bonus: A well-trained Virtual Assistant will systematize all of these in an Operations Manual for you, so you never have to repeat the process again).

3. There are people who can do it better, faster and cheaper. Virtual Assistants, on average, charge between $30-45/hour. If you’re an attorney who bills out at $300 an hour or a consultant who bills out at $150 hour, you should never be doing the tasks that you can pay someone else less to do – in turn, focus your time where it matters – on your core business. Skilled Virtual Assistants take part in additional training like search engine optimization, social media and general marketing, so they’re up on the latest trends.

There are only 24 hours in the day, so it’s time to give yourself a break!
